Who we are
Since its establishment in 1980 Canterbury Clocks and Watches has developed a reputation for being one of Australia’s foremost horological centres specialising in restoration of timepieces.
We at Canterbury Clocks and Watches maintain a philosophy of performing all restoration work in a manner sympathetic to the originality of the clock or watch. In our superbly equipped workshop we can undertake the most challenging restoration or repair to the highest standard. Our clock and watchmakers possess between them a combined experience of over 60 years in the horological trade.
Specialising in the repair and restoration of long-case, grandfather and carriage clocks
At Canterbury Clocks and Watches we specialize in the restoration and repair of antique and modern clocks and watches and offer a comprehensive range of fully restored antique clocks for sale.
We are the authorised Australian service centre for Matthew Norman and Swiza clocks.
The Canterbury Clocks and Watches Difference
Unlike many other clock repairers we maintain a comprehensive workshop, and are full-time clock and watch makers, with the equipment and skills to fabricate replacement parts.
Our aim is to provide our customers with the best value repairs and offer on-going support and after-sales service.
We can assure our clients of the highest quality of work and offer a 2-year warranty on Clocks and a 2-year warranty on watches.* We are proud that we use 100% green/renewable electricity in our workshops.
We are now able to offer repair and restoration of mercury barometers (see note on services page for terms on handling of these items - accepted by appointment only).
Please do not hesitate to contact us for an obligation free quotation (note, we cannot provide quotations over the phone or via the internet).
We look forward to being of service to you for all your horological needs.
